Bayern break Barcelona's Champions league winning streak

Bayern Munich's recent victory over CSKA Moscow in Russia, allowed them to beat Barcelona's nine win streak record which took play back in 2002-03, beginning with them winning 3-2 against Club Brugge in the first match and ending with a 0-0 draw against Inter in the second group stage.

Gareth Bale stars in Real Madrid victory

Bale scored three goals and set up a fourth to make sure Real Madrid would win without injured star Cristiano Ronaldo, as they cruised to a 4-0 victory over Valladolid. while Ronaldo was out nursing a hamstring injury for a second straight week,  Bale scored his first goal in the 32nd minute and then set up Karim Benzema  four minutes later in the 36th minute. And then in the second half Bale scored 2 more goals in the 64th and 89th minute to lead Real Madrid to a victory.

Wallabies winning streak contiues against Wales

for the first time since 2008 the Wallabies have won four consecutive games and in that process they kept the incredible streak going as they beat Wales 30-26. with a stadium packed with 67,000 people they new they were in for a dramatic game with Australia getting 20 unanswered points betwee the 38th and 53rd minutes of the game, and they held on in the last minutes as Wales attempted to get a winning try.

Roger Tuivasa-sheck suspected broken leg

in yesterdays RLWC final NZ and Sydney Roosters winger Tuivasa-sheck  went off the field just seven minutes into the game, Tuivasa-sheckinjured the same leg in the semi-final against England last week although this time he heard a cracker as he went down. Recently named winger of the year he will be sent for scans on his leg over the next following days to see if they reveal a fracture and if it does he could face months of recovery.

Rory Mcllroy wins the Australian open

Mcllroy denied Adam Scott Australian golf's triple crown with a dramatic one stroke victory at royal Sydney. Scott never trailed during the Australian open until making a meal of the 72nd hole of the championship. McIlroy finished at 18-under-par, one ahead of Scott, who closed with a one-under-71.

Australia defeat NZ and win RLWC

Australia has beaten NZ 34-2 in a thrilling match today, the match started off close with Australia and  NZ both kicking penalty goals making the score 2-2 but by the time the game had reached half time Australia led NZ 16-2. After the second half NZ had a doubtful chance of coming back and this was proven to be correct when Australia scored several more times to win the game 34-2. This was Australia's tenth RLWC victory and sheens was happy for his team although his coaching and squad selections were questioned during the cup, they proved to be excellent methods leading Australia to a victory. SBW was disappointed for NZ since he wanted to win a RLWC with NZ before he went back to union for the rugby union World Cup in 2015.

Ashes debate whether Harris should play second test or not

Harris has a outstanding record against England (last ashes getting 29 wickets in 5 matches) but hes spot in the Australian site may be debated. Australia will soon make there final decision on whether Harris should play or whether he shouldn't.
